A Few Tips To Fix Your Blotchy Skin

You are more prone to blotchy skin type if you have super-sentitive skin. The reasons for red blotchy skin are the pigmentation scars from healed acne, or uneven red patches, dry rashes, eczema and rosacea.

This condition is easy to be treated with some natural methods. The treatment is the same as the treatment used for acne, as the symptoms are similar to acne. Here in this post, we will share with you a few tips to get rid of your red, blotchy skin and keep your skin feeling soft and supple.

1.     Aloe Vera

Aloe vera is the best ingredient for any skin ailment. You can use it as a soothing agent on your skin. Smear some aloe vera flesh and apply it on to the red blotchy patches. It helps to reduce the redness instantly and cures the skin over a period of time.

2.     Baking Soda

When the skin is red and blotchy, there are many chances of dead skin accumulation. Baking soda acts as an exfoliator and helps in the removal of dead skin. Make a paste of baking soda and some water. Let the paste be thick. Scrub it using this mixture for 2-3 minutes. Wash it with cold water. It helps to get rid of blotchy skin effectively.

3.     Oatmeal

Use oatmeal as an exfoliator. This is one of the best exfoliators that you can use, as it leaves the skin feeling soft and supple. It is a great moisturising agent and rehydrates dry skin. For better results, you can make a paste of oatmeal in water and add half a teaspoon of honey to the mix.

4.     Green Tea

Dip a bag of green tea in hot water and apply the bag on to the skin when it is lukewarm. The anti-inflammatory agents and antioxidants present in the tea bag will help in getting rid of red blotchy patches on the skin.

5.     Coconut Oil

Coconut oil is a versatile oil. It has antiseptic and antimicrobial properties. It can be used as a great moisturising agent. The anti-inflammatory properties help to get relief from redness and inflammation of the skin. Apply this oil and wipe it with a warm cloth for better results.

6.     Yogurt

Yogurt is rich in lactic acid. This acts as an exfoliator and removes the dead skin cells easily. Apply it directly on to your skin and wash with lukewarm water after 10 minutes. You will have a soft supple skin.

7.     Cucumber

This acts as a cooling agent on the skin. Slice up a cucumber and apply it on the inflammed areas. It soothes the skin instantly. For better results, you can cool the cucumber in the refrigerator before use.
